Google has launched the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform at Cloud Next ’26, officially replacing Vertex AI as the company's comprehensive system for building and governing agents. The platform distinguishes itself by embedding governance directly into the architecture, mandating a unique cryptographic identity for every agent to ensure traceability and auditing through a central Agent Gateway.
