Googleは2026年5月4日にProject Marinerを終了し、その技術をGemini AgentとAI Modeに統合した。2024年12月に登場したこの実験的ツールは、ユーザーがウェブ上のタスクを実行できるようにするものだった。Chromeでの自動ブラウジングやエージェント型検索の機能は引き続き利用可能。

Originally launched in December 2024, the tool executed web tasks and eventually managed up to 10 simultaneous actions. Its capabilities now fuel features like auto-browse in Chrome and agentic search functions. This consolidation precedes Google I/O on May 19, where new AI features are expected to debut.
