Appleは、iOS 27、iPadOS 27、macOS 27において、Google GeminiやAnthropic ClaudeなどのサードパーティAIモデルを選択してデフォルトのインテリジェンス機能を置き換えられるようにする計画だ。この「extensions」システムにより、App StoreからインストールしたApple以外のモデル上でSiri、Writing Tools、Image Playgroundが動作可能になる。Appleは現在、これらの統合を社内でテストしている。
Apple plans to introduce a system called “Extensions” in iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27 this fall, allowing users to replace core Apple Intelligence features with third-party models. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, users can install compatible apps from the App Store and set providers like Google or Anthropic as their preferred AI for Siri, Writing Tools, and Image Playground. The OS will allow users to assign distinct voices to different AI models, and Apple is already testing these integrations internally.
