DoorDash released new AI tools on Monday designed to automate merchant onboarding and improve content quality. The onboarding system scrapes existing restaurant websites to populate menu data, similar to Amazon's 2024 tool, while AI Replate and AI Retouch tools automatically enhance food photography and adjust plating styles. Additionally, a website generator converts DoorDash listings into full e-commerce sites, which the company reports drove a 10% average order conversion rate during testing. The platform also updated its video library, allowing merchants to tag dishes for direct purchase.
