microsoft has released its new surface laptop ultra and surface rtx spark dev box, powered by nvidia's rtx spark chip. the surface laptop ultra starts at $2600 and goes up to $5900, while the surface rtx spark dev box starts at $6000. both pcs are designed to run ai models on-device locally and come with a revamped version of windows 11 that includes a feature called execution containers, which makes it easier to sandbox ai agents. microsoft ceo satya nadella said that the feature will be available for all windows 11 users. the devices are aimed at developers, with microsoft offering up to $1000 off for trading in a macbook pro.
