google play announced a new feature enabling users to create and launch private, ai-built apps on their android devices using google ai studio. these personal apps won't be shared with anyone except the creator and won't appear in google play's search or listing pages. the feature initially launches in the us for users aged 18 and up. google also plans to allow users to share their creations with a network of trusted friends and potentially publish popular apps on the google play store after completing trust and safety reviews.
