google is launching a universal gemini ai agent for enterprise customers, allowing users to chat with the gemini agent and assign it tasks from a single interface within the gemini enterprise app. the agent works across apps and devices in the background, including workspace apps like gmail, drive, docs, sheets, calendar, and third-party apps like slack or microsoft 365. gemini can also work with job-specific sub-agents and operate as a coworker agent with a dedicated identity. the agent is currently available in private preview.
