兩黨參議員要求強制披露數據中心能耗
沃倫和霍利參議員敦促能源信息管理局要求數據中心進行強制性的年度能耗披露。
Senators Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Josh Hawley (R-MO) sent a letter to the Energy Information Administration (EIA) urging the agency to collect comprehensive, annual data on data center energy consumption. The senators specifically called for mandatory reporting to support grid planning, contrasting the EIA's recent announcement of a voluntary pilot program limited to Texas, Northern Virginia, and Washington, DC. This political pressure follows a Pew Research Center survey indicating 43% of Americans blame data centers for rising utility bills.
