anthropic has introduced claude duet, an ai agent competitor to meta's muse and openai's dots, designed for professionals and small business owners. claude duet is built around claude opus 5.5 and is launching as a research preview, available as a standalone app on ios and android and through claude on the web. the ai agent can send briefs, keep tabs on connected apps, and handle tasks such as scheduling meetings, building dashboards, and creating financial forecasts. it also features a new dedicated classifier and safety system prompt to reject requests to share sensitive information. claude duet is currently an early version and may misread threads or miscalibrate urgency.
