amazon web services released torchneuron, a tool that allows ai startups to move their pytorch apps to amazon's ai chip, trainium, with just one line of configuration change. this challenges nvidia's software advantage, which has helped it become the default hardware choice for ai apps. torchneuron works with 85% of ai apps written with pytorch, which was originally developed by facebook and is now part of the linux foundation. amazon argues that using trainium gives startups access to its entire cloud and saves them money with its tightly integrated infrastructure.
