Omen AI buys Aquatic Labs for $16M to boost liquid cooling monitoring
omen ai acquires aquatic labs for $16 million to enhance its real-time sensor technology for monitoring cooling fluids in data centers, a market expected to grow significantly.
omen ai, founded in 2024, aims to address the challenge of scaling up ai infrastructure by reducing water usage in data centers. the company raised $31 million in series a funding in june and acquired aquatic labs in a $16 million cash-and-stock deal. the acquisition combines omen's sensor technology, which detects elements in water, with aquatic labs' sensor, which tests alkalinity. the integrated technology is expected to be on the market by early next year, initially monitoring chips with 250-300 mw of power. omen's goal is to have its sensors installed on the equivalent of 1 gw of chips by the end of 2027.
