meta is creating a new business unit, meta enterprise platform, to sell ai services to businesses. the unit will be led by chirantan desai, previously ceo of mongodb, and will report directly to mark zuckerberg. initial offerings include the muse agent, meta business agent, muse api, and muse code. meta is spending over $100 billion on ai infrastructure this year and investors are expecting a return. the company is entering a competitive market with coding tools like claude code, codex, and cursor, as well as cheap chinese open-weight models.
