Google launches Gmail Live conversational search
google unveiled gmail live at io 2026, a gemini-powered feature allowing voice conversational search to find flight details or event info.
google announced gmail live at io 2026, adding conversational voice search to gmail. the feature uses gemini ai to process natural language queries and follow-ups, finding specific data like hotel room numbers or event details more accurately than keyword search. the tool supplements rather than replaces traditional search, a decision likely influenced by previous backlash over ai-only features in google photos. gmail live launches later this summer exclusively for google ai ultra subscribers, while other ai inbox features expand to pro and plus tiers.
