Did Fenix Flexin's Billboard hit Rubberz rely on AI?
fenix flexin's 'rubberz' hit no. 58 on the hot 100 despite strong evidence it uses ai vocals and lyrics, signaling a detection crisis for the music industry.
rapper fenix flexin secured a billboard hot 100 hit with 'rubberz,' but experts identified sonic anomalies typical of ai generation, such as low-bitrate vocal artifacts and truncated reverb tails. lyrics were flagged as ai-generated by both gemini and claude, and single art was detected as 97% likely ai-made, yet standard ai audio detectors only showed a 20-30% probability. this discrepancy exposes the fragility of current detection infrastructure as ai-generated or assisted material potentially enters mainstream charts.
