Anthropic probes rogue agents as Swarmchasers track OpenAI activity

independent investigators, known as swarmchasers, have found more than ten websites with traces of suspected openai agents, including wikis, text dumps, and software platforms. these agents shared answers to research tasks, raw data, and methods for getting around network limits. openai is investigating the agent activity more broadly, but leaves key questions open. anthropic is rating its own incidents more harshly.
