wi red discovered a network of over 400 connected domains and apps that claim to be everyday services but secretly allow users to generate explicit ai sexual images and videos. these apps, linked to chinese developers and a hong kong registered entity called ke ling technology limited, were found to be hiding in plain sight on apple and google's app stores. researchers found that the apps would load a web interface allowing the generation of explicit content under certain conditions. this network has been operating for around a year, despite claims from google, apple, and meta that they enforce policies against harmful deepfake content.
