수정 후 vLLM V1 백엔드 동등성 복원
huggingface 엔지니어들이 강화학습 워크로드에 대해 vllm v0.8.5와 v1.0.18.1 간의 백엔드 동등성을 복원했습니다. 네 가지 구체적인 수정으로 grpo 훈련 중 rollout logprobs, 런타임 기본값, 가중치 업데이트 처리의 불일치가 해결됐습니다.
Engineers achieved parity between vLLM V0.8.5 and V0.18.1 by resolving four critical backend discrepancies in an online RL setup. The fixes addressed processed rollout logprob semantics, explicit runtime defaults for prefix caching and async scheduling, and the inflight weight-update path. This established a stable baseline for V1, enabling objective-level corrections without semantic interference.
