SAP, 테이블러 AI 기업 Prior Labs 인수로 11억 6천만 달러 규모 투자 단행
SAP은 설립 18개월 된 독일 AI 스타트업 Prior Labs를 5억 달러 이상의 선불 현금으로 인수한다고 발표했습니다. 이 엔터프라이즈 대기업은 4년에 걸쳐 10억 유로를 투자해 구조화된 데이터를 위한 AI 연구소를 구축하기로 했습니다. 한편 SAP은 OpenClaw 에이전트를 차단하고, 자사의 Joule 에이전트와 NVIDIA의 NemoClaw 같은 승인된 아키텍처로 API 접근을 제한했습니다.
SAP acquired German startup Prior Labs, creators of the TabPFN tabular foundation models, for over $500 million in cash. The enterprise software giant committed €1 billion over four years to expand the 18-month-old lab into a dedicated research unit for structured data AI. The company stated the lab will operate independently to maintain research velocity and keep its open-source models available, while integrating directly with SAP AI Core and Business Data Cloud.
Simultaneously, SAP is moving to control agentic AI access to its platforms. The company updated its API policy to ban unauthorized AI agents, specifically targeting OpenClaw. SAP designated its own Joule Agents and Nvidia’s NemoClaw—which utilizes the Nvidia Agent Toolkit integrated with Joule in March—as the only authorized agent architectures for its customers.
