meta is prototyping 'super sensing' glasses that continuously record audio and snap photos every few seconds without an activating led light, according to the financial times. this 'live ai' feature allows the system to build daily context so users can query an ai about past interactions, potentially using the data to train future models. internally, the lack of a recording indicator is causing concern, as bystanders cannot consent to or detect surveillance. meta previewed related 'live ai' features at connect 2025 and cited its 'project aria' research as the foundation for this first-person data approach.
