The group represents over 1,000 staff and is demanding the right to abstain from projects violating their ethical standards, alongside a commitment to stop developing weapons technologies. This follows Google's recent decision to allow the US Department of Defense to use its models for 'any lawful government purpose' and the termination of over 50 employees involved in similar protests earlier in 2024.
