Sierra, the AI startup founded by former Salesforce co-CEO Bret Taylor, secured $950 million in funding led by Tiger Global and GV. The investment values the company at over $15 billion, following a rapid revenue climb from $100 million to $150 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) between November and February. Sierra reports that over 40% of the Fortune 50 now use its agents to handle billions of interactions, ranging from insurance claims to mortgage refinancing. The capital infusion arrives as enterprises aggressively adopt agentic AI despite high initial costs; Uber recently revealed that 10% of its code is now AI-generated. Sierra plans to expand beyond customer support with tools like Ghostwriter, which autonomously builds specialized agents for internal workflows.
