microsoft edge is rolling out a significant update to its built-in copilot, granting the chatbot permission to analyze and synthesize content from across all open browser tabs to answer queries or compare products. additionally, the browser adds a 'study and learn' mode for creating quizzes and a tool that converts active tabs into ai-generated podcasts. the company is retiring the previous 'copilot mode' and integrating those features into 'browse with copilot' while adding long-term memory and redesigned mobile screen sharing.
