ASMLのFouquet CEO、チップ不足は数年続くと発言
ASMLのCEO Christophe Fouquetは、AIブームにより今後2〜5年間、チップ市場は供給制約下に置かれると述べた。TSLCの不満にもかかわらず、Fouquetは3億5000万ドル超のHigh-NA EUV装置を擁護し、ウェハーコストを20〜30%削減できると主張した。さらに、Substrateなどのスタートアップとの競争や中国のリバースエンジニアリングの取り組みを一蹴した。
ASML CEO Christophe Fouquet addressed the semiconductor supply chain, stating that demand from hyperscalers ensures the market will remain supply-limited for at least two to five years. He noted that customers will not get enough chips in the near term despite increased capacity. Regarding pricing, Fouquet countered TSMC's concerns about the cost of new High-NA EUV machines, arguing the $350 million+ systems lower advanced wafer production costs by 20-30% compared to previous generations.
