apple is set to reveal a long-awaited siri overhaul at wwdc 2026 on june 8th, potentially integrating google's gemini model to boost capabilities. rumors indicate new visual intelligence modes in the camera app, ai-generated wallpapers, and a dedicated siri app with dynamic island integration. users may also gain the ability to select third-party ai models like openai's chatgpt, breaking from apple's walled-garden approach. these announcements mark a critical turning point for apple as it deploys advanced ai to compete with google and android.
