Google updated AI Mode and AI Overviews to incorporate direct quotes and links from social media, Reddit, and web forums. The feature, labeled as “Expert Advice,” aims to address user behavior of manually appending “Reddit” to search terms to find human experiences rather than SEO-optimized content. The update includes metadata like creator handles or community names alongside links and highlights content from user’s existing news subscriptions.
