Apple agreed to pay $250 million to resolve a class-action lawsuit alleging false advertising regarding Apple Intelligence and Siri features on the iPhone 15 and 16. Plaintiffs argued that Apple marketed advanced AI capabilities as ready at launch, specifically regarding a significantly upgraded Siri, which were delayed or incomplete. The settlement covers U.S. devices purchased between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025, offering up to $95 per device. Apple denied wrongdoing but chose to settle ahead of its expected preview of the AI-enhanced Siri at its annual developer conference.
